Processors with whiskey brine microarchitecture from chip manufacturer Intel® represent the fourth optimization step in the 14 nm manufacturing process. The first processors of this series were introduced in 2018.
In June 2019 the embedded versions of these 8th generation Intel Core Mobile Processors were launched. These processors offer a performance increase of up to 40% compared to the Kaby Lake version. This is made possible by 4 instead of 2 computing cores and an overall improved microarchitecture. Functions such as Intel Optane Memory 2 ensure higher data throughput and lower latency times.
