The last 12 months have presented all of us with unforeseen challenges. While the economy is slowly recovering from the pandemic-related slowdown, it has now started to be confronted with new problems. The renewed demand for goods collides with still limited transport capacity. In addition, raw materials, precious metals, electronic components and semiconductors are experiencing disproportionately high price increases and delivery delays.
These effects do not pass us by without consequences and have an effect on both the delivery times and the prices of our products.
We are sure that together we will also master these challenges. We assume that the situation is temporary and we will of course pass on price advantages to you when the situation becomes more stable.

Even though we stock a lot of goods for you in our large warehouse here on our location, we also have to order goods for you at short notice. Here, we have been using air shipping for years in order to keep delivery times as short as possible. Due to the pandemic, capacities there have been particularly reduced, as regular airlines were also used to transport the goods. The restricted passenger transport in air traffic therefore also has consequences for the transport of goods. For this reason, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that longer delivery times must be expected in some cases.
What does this mean for you?
The reduction in available freight capacity also has an impact on costs. Currently, we are already at a doubling of transport costs per kg volume weight for air freight compared to the usual rates. For delivery by sea freight, the costs have risen many times more. We have borne these additional costs in full for a long time. However, since they have risen to a disproportionately large extent, we saw and see ourselves obliged to allocate a part of these additional costs. We show this additional cost in a separate item "Import cost surcharge" and take the liberty of invoicing it.
Technological developments and reduced manufacturing capacity have led to a shortage of electronic components and semiconductors, this, together with the dramatic increase in raw material and energy prices, is leading to a sharp rise in prices in the market.
Our purchase prices for components are also now changing faster than usual. All of our suppliers are implementing unscheduled price increases and we assume that further price adjustments will also be made in the near future. In order to continue to operate economically, we are forced to make regular price adjustments. We currently update our prices on a monthly basis.
